Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service form an agreement between you and Chumy regarding your use of the app, website, and related services that link to these terms.

If you do not agree to these terms, do not access or use Chumy.

Eligibility and accounts

You must meet the minimum age and other requirements applicable in your jurisdiction to use Chumy. If you are not legally able to agree to these terms on your own, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to them on your behalf where permitted.

You are responsible for information associated with your account and for maintaining control of the device or credentials used to access it. Notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

Use of Chumy

Chumy is a community for discovering and sharing cosplay-related videos, creator profiles, comments, likes, follows, challenge entries, and related creative interactions.

You may use Chumy only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You may not attempt to interfere with the service, access another person's account, scrape data without authorization, distribute malicious code, or bypass safety and access controls.

Community standards

You agree not to use Chumy to:

• Harass, threaten, shame, stalk, or target another person.
• Impersonate a creator, misrepresent authorship, or remove meaningful credit.
• Post content that is illegal, exploitative, dangerously misleading, or intended to facilitate harm.
• Share another person's private information or private media without permission.
• Spam, manipulate engagement, coordinate abuse, or misuse reporting and blocking tools.
• Upload content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
• Use hateful or discriminatory conduct to exclude people based on protected characteristics.

Context matters. Cosplay may involve fictional conflict, props, effects, or performance, but users remain responsible for presenting content safely and lawfully.

Your content and responsibilities

You retain ownership of content you create. You are responsible for your videos, captions, comments, profile information, challenge entries, and other material submitted through Chumy.

You must have all rights and permissions needed to share your content, including permission from photographers, editors, performers, collaborators, or other people whose work or likeness appears where required.

By posting content, you grant Chumy a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, display, and distribute that content as reasonably needed to operate, improve, and promote the service. This license ends when your content is deleted from our systems, except where retention is legally permitted or technically necessary for a limited period.

Community challenges

Challenges may include prompts, time periods, tags, eligibility requirements, or participation rules shown in the app. You are responsible for reviewing the details before joining.

Challenge participation does not guarantee selection, promotion, prizes, visibility, or a particular result. Unless clearly stated otherwise, challenges are creative community activities and are not contests of chance.

Intellectual property

Chumy's name, logo, interface, software, and original service materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except for rights expressly granted in these terms, Chumy and its licensors retain all rights in the service.

Cosplay often references third-party characters, costumes, franchises, or trademarks. Chumy does not grant permission to use intellectual property owned by others. You are responsible for understanding how your use may be affected by applicable law and rights-holder policies.

Moderation and enforcement

We may review reports and take action when reasonably needed to enforce these terms, protect users, respond to legal requirements, or preserve service integrity.

Actions may include limiting distribution, removing content, restricting features, issuing warnings, suspending accounts, or terminating access. We may consider context, severity, prior behavior, and risk when deciding what action to take.

Third-party content and services

Chumy may display content created by users or provide access to third-party services. We do not control all third-party content and are not responsible for external websites, services, policies, or transactions.

Your use of third-party products or services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Chumy at any time. Where account deletion tools are available, you may use them to request deletion, subject to lawful retention and safety requirements.

We may suspend or terminate access when we reasonably believe you violated these terms, created risk or legal exposure, repeatedly infringed rights, or used the service in a way that could harm Chumy or its community.

Service availability and disclaimers

Chumy is provided on an "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, specific feed results, preservation of content, or availability of any particular feature or user submission.

You are responsible for evaluating interactions, content, techniques, props, materials, events, and activities you discover through the service. Follow appropriate safety guidance and local rules.

Changes to the service or terms

We may change Chumy and these terms as the service evolves or as legal requirements change. When changes are material, we may provide notice through the app or other appropriate means. Continued use after updated terms become effective means you accept the revised terms.
